Istanbul Bilgi University

Academic Project | Individual Work, 2015-16

Location: Besiktas, Istanbul Turkey

Supervisors: Idil Erkol, Dr. Devrim Çimen

Besiktas is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Istanbul and considered as one of the major centres of the city, in terms of both residential and commercial uses and especially for small businesses. It is a major transportation hub, with prominent bus stations and ferry terminals. In addition, there are several educational institutions including high-ranking universities and student accommodations. With the help of Besiktas’s location, the aim of the design is to create a place, which provides a working environment and also a variety of activities for users with different profiles, who lives/studies/works nearby.
